It is undeniable that farmyard usage can increase nutrients on soil, and consequently increasing crop yields. For instance, farmers in Nepal were willing to improve their farmyard because they blamed yields of crops on reduced manure. The reason behind reduced manure was due to the way that the manure was exposed, in that case open heaps. An experiment conducted in Nepal by Chaudhary, Rana, and Raizada, showed that the nutrients in the soil increased after storing farmyard in shaded pits in addition to black plastics to cover the manure because lack of sheds, and/or to help heat composting. The results revealed that nitrogen increased by 87%, phosphorus by 147%, and potassium by 70%.
